What is angelnet?

Angelnet or Alys Room is my personal website and passion project. It's a space made for me by me to really express myself and share things that i love with likeminded people. Like the second name implies it serves as some sort of extension to my pink bedroom which i practically live in.

Part of why this website was made is because I hate how impersonal, sanitized and censored everything became online to appeal to corporate. I come from a time where Myspace, Skyblog and later Tumblr were the norm and your profile was always customized to really be yours. A time where capitalism hadn't yet ruined the internet.

I want Angelnet to recreate the sense of wonder I felt browsing the web as a kid and teenager.

The visuals of this website are inspired by the internet I grew up with. From colorful flash games and cute blogs to mysterious websites and rabbit holes.
